Founded in 1931, the National Association of Student Councils (NASC) is the oldest and largest organization serving middle and high school student councils and the educators who support them. NASC is a nonprofit that provides the opportunity for students to become effective leaders, thus encouraging and influencing a positive school climate. To build excitement for the relaunch, we created a video to announce the new NASC for a room of 4,000+ students and their guidance counselors at the national student leadership conference. The video was used to generate buzz and interest in the new benefits and how they would be able to use them to make a difference in their schools and communities.

We also created a social cutdown of the video to share on social media. In the first 3 days of the video launch on Instagram, it received 13K+ views and more than 21 hours of total play time.

By conducting sit-down interviews with National Student Council members, we were able to have students hear from their peer leaders about the benefits of the new NASC and connect it to their specific experiences.

Social Cutdown

Part of the relaunch included a new toolkit website for guidance counselors to find the resources and templates they need to advertise NASC and recruit students to join. Additionally, we created a brand kit with elements to support the new logo for the staff and NASSP to use when creating content for the relaunch, a series of marketing materials (poster, brochures, popup banners, and more), and social media teaser assets to build anticipation prior to the launch.
