Strategic Persuasion, SIMPLIFIED.

The average person is exposed to as many as 10,000 ads in a single day. It’s not enough to make sure your brand is one of them—it needs to be the one they remember.

SeaChange makes it easy to understand your audience, go wide on pre-flight creative testing, identify the winning messages or ads that move your audience, and go beyond engagement to measure their impact.

How It Works

Use the Power of Persuasion Science to Uncover Tomorrow’s Brand Insights, Today

Brand and Performance Marketers, unite: SeaChange’s RCT technology allows you to anticipate brand lift, campaign effectiveness, and maximize your ROI using randomized controlled trials to produce actionable insights. Send up your creative assets, messaging, packaging, or even taglines. We’ll get to work on the science, and in as little as 24 hours you’ll have data-driven evidence and recommendations so you can boldly go where no marketer has gone before.

RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL (RCT)

In scientific research, a RTC is considered to be the gold standard for experimental design because it allows for control over factors that are outside of the experiment’s purview. Research participants are randomly assigned to either be:

in a control condition, where no creative assets are shown before they are asked to answer the questions that the researcher seeks to answer

or

in one or more treatment conditions, where a what is being measured is shown before these questions.

This structure allows researchers to accurately gauge the impact of each treatment in comparison to the control group to determine which is the best for the outcome or research goal in question.

The Engagement Illusion:  When Likes Lie & Shares Deceive

Are your campaigns getting plenty of likes, shares, and comments but not changing anyone’s mind? You’re not alone. In the digital age, it’s easy to mistake online engagement for effective persuasion. Any campaign or advocacy effort needs both, but you must measure them differently.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I test on the SeaChange platform?

If you can upload it, chances are you can test it. Our platform makes it easy to test audio, video, storyboards, packaging, text, messaging points, calls to action, mockups, campaign concepts, and more.

Why should I use RCTs vs A/B testing, surveys, or focus groups?

Using randomized controlled testing brings the confidence of science to the art of creative campaigns. RCTs help you understand not only what works, but why, and with whom. We go beyond demographics to understand the values that motivate people, because people are more complex than their demographic data. With A/B testing, it’s about finding out which worked better: this or that. But what works “better” isn’t the same as what is most persuasive and what’s more, it doesn’t tell you why. Focus groups are time consuming, expensive, and difficult to scale. There are certainly many types of survey platforms in the market, but we know our methodology is the most rigorous in the market, and we deliver reliable data with confidence.

Are your RCTs customizable?

Yes! You can tailor SeaChange’s RCTs to suit your needs in size and scope.

What types of results will I get?

When your test has run, you’ll be able to see high-level data in your dashboard about where each of your assets performed with respondents on a spectrum of persuasion to backlash, with a baseline result visible for reference. From there, you can drill down to see results by age, media market, education, household income, and more. You’ll also have talking points ready to prep you with an understanding of what worked, and why. Our Impact Estimates feature also lets you see the potential media spend impact of running your most persuasive messaging with certain audiences.

When will I see my results?

Our users can see results available in their dashboard often within 24 hours of launching a test, making us one of the fastest tools to measure brand lift in the market.

Our brand works with an agency. Can they use SeaChange too?

We’d love that! We’re proud to work with many strategy, communications, and creative agencies. If you’re an agency looking to add SeaChange to your client offerings, click here.

How can I integrate this with my other tools and workflow?

We see the most compelling case for persuasion when clients test early and often. The earlier in campaign development you test, the earlier you know which of your concepts are going to resonate the most. From there, you can quickly move to develop as many approaches as you want, test those, and iterate. Knowing what will move your audience to action, affinity, or advocacy before you spend a single dollar on media is a game changer.

What level of support or training do you provide?

We have best in class Client Success and Enablement teams who have developed easy to use guides and other resources to get you going quickly. For those who want bespoke support, we’d be happy to chat about custom solutions.

Can I customize tests to tailor them to my own KPIs, brand objectives, or creative campaign goals?

Absolutely. Our tests allow for you to design your own Success Questions, and our data can serve as a robust complement to your own metrics. Our test can help you measure brand lift, performance, purchase intent, favorability, and more.
